Today's post is a simple "Masala Pappad". A starter snack that is served in many Punjabi restaurants. It can be prepared so quickly and is very appetizing too.
Ingredients:
Pappad 2
Onion 1
Carrot 1
Capsicum a small cup
Salt to taste
Garam masala powder
Amchur powder
Coriander leaves few
Method:
Dry roast the pappad directly on flame using tongs and keep it aside. (Alternatively you can roast them on a tawa or you can use fried pappad too)
Grate onion, capsicum, carrot into small pieces using a food processor or chop them into small pieces.
Chop tomato into tiny pieces.
Transfer these veggies into a bowl. Add coriander leaves, salt, garam masala powder, amchur powder. Mix them thoroughly.
Spread the above mixture onto the pappad.
Serve it immediately. Otherwise the pappad will become soggy.
Variations:
You can squeeze lemon over the veggies for a tangy taste.
You can use any veggies of your choice. Even boiled chickpeas and crumbled paneer can be used.
