Moong Dal Sundal - Day 3 Navratri

Today is Day 3 of Navaratri. This is dedicated to the third form of Goddess Durga - Chandraghanta. This goddess is all about being fearless and valiant. She is portrayed as having ten arms and holding many weapons in her hands. She is none other than Goddess Parvathi, wife of Lord Shiva. She wears a crescent moon on her forehead, hence the name "Chandraghanta". In Sanskrit, Chandra means moon. She is also shown as riding a tigress which showcases her bravery.

It is believed that worshiping this Goddess will eliminate all the sins, sufferings, and negative vibes from our lives.
