Paneer Gravy

A simple gravy made out of Paneer, sauted in a Onion & tomato based gravy.



So, on my plate is:


🌻 Roti

🌻 Yellow Dal

🌻 Paneer Gravy

🌻 Plain Steamed Basmati Rice


******Recipe for the Paneer gravy******


Ingredients:


Paneer Cubes

Tomato 3

Onions 2

Ginger 1 inch

Garlic pods 1 or 2

Green Chilli 1

Cardamom 1

Cloves 2

Garam Masala 1 tsp

Amchur Powder 1 tsp

Milk 1 cup

Kasuri Methi 2 tsp

Red Chilli powder 1/2 tsp

Sugar a pinch

Butter

Salt to taste

Coriander leaves few


Method:


  1. Heat ghee in a pan.

  2. Once hot, add cardamom, cloves, green chilli, ginger, coriander leaves and garlic. Saute them for a minute.

  3. Add sliced onions. Saute until translucent.

  4. Next add tomatoes. Saute them well for 5 to 6 minutes.

  5. Switch off the flame and allow it to cool.

  6. Once cool, blend into a fine paste.

  7. Heat butter in a pan. Once it melts, add bay leaf & cumin seeds.

  8. Next add the ground paste.

  9. Add turmeric powder, a pinch of sugar and salt.

  10. Stir it in medium flame until the gravy thickens.

  11. Add garam masala powder, amchur powder and stir it thoroughly.

  12. Once the gravy thickens, add the paneer cubes and let it blend well with the gravy.

  13. Next add milk and stir it thoroughly to get the creamy texture.

  14. Then simmer it for 4 to 5 minutes.

  15. Switch off the flame.

  16. Garnish with kasuri methi leaves & Coriander leaves.
