Tutti Fruity is a colorful combination of chopped and candied fruits. They are widely used in Cakes, Ice cream and Cookies. In India, we make it from raw papaya. It is very simple to make. This papaya was home-grown and was given to us by one of our close relative.
Ingredients:
Raw Papaya 1 cup
Sugar 1/2 cup
Water 1/2 cup
Food Color (I used red and green colour)
Method:
Peel the skin of the papaya. Chop them into small cubes.
Boil the papaya cubes for 5 minutes. Cook until the cubes are half cooked.
Drain the water and keep them aside.
Next add sugar and water in a pan. Once the sugar dissolves, add the papaya cubes.
Let it boil until it reaches one string consistency.
Drain the cubes into two bowls.
Add red food colour to one bowl and green food colour to other bowl.
Mix them well and transfer them into a kitchen towel so that it gets dried.
Once it dries completely, transfer them into air tight container and store it refrigerated.
