Cabbage Bonda (Fritters)


Today's post is Cabbage Bonda (Fritters). A deep fried snack that tastes so good and can be made with minimum ingredients.


Ingredients:


Besan Flour 1 cup

Rice Flour 1/4 cup

Shredded Cabbage 2 cups

Onion 1

Green Chilli 1 or 2

Ginger 1 tsp

Fennel Seeds 1 tsp

Curry leaves few

Asafoetida pinch

Chilli Powder 1 tsp

Salt to taste


Method:

  • In a bowl, add all the ingredients except the flours. Mix them well.

  • To it, add the besan flour, rice flour and 2 tbsp hot oil. Mix well. Adding hot oil makes the bondas crisp and it consumes less oil while frying.

  • Pat them into round balls and deep fry them in medium flame.

  • Serve them with mint chutney or any ketchup of your choice.
