
Today's post is Cabbage Bonda (Fritters). A deep fried snack that tastes so good and can be made with minimum ingredients.
Ingredients:
Besan Flour 1 cup
Rice Flour 1/4 cup
Shredded Cabbage 2 cups
Onion 1
Green Chilli 1 or 2
Ginger 1 tsp
Fennel Seeds 1 tsp
Curry leaves few
Asafoetida pinch
Chilli Powder 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Method:
In a bowl, add all the ingredients except the flours. Mix them well.
To it, add the besan flour, rice flour and 2 tbsp hot oil. Mix well. Adding hot oil makes the bondas crisp and it consumes less oil while frying.
Pat them into round balls and deep fry them in medium flame.
Serve them with mint chutney or any ketchup of your choice.
