Eggless No Yeast Donuts


Couple of days ago, I tried making Donuts that are Eggless & without yeast and it turned out really well. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, it tasted great. Here is the way that I tried to make these delish donuts. If you try this, do let me know how it turned out for you.


Ingredients:

All Purpose Flour 1.5 cup

Milk 1/2 cup

Yogurt 1 tbsp

Sugar 3 tbsp

Salt a pinch

Baking Powder 1/2 tsp

Baking soda 1/4 tsp

Vegetable oil 1/4 cup

Sprinkles


Method:


1. Prepare the dough:

  • Add all the ingredients to a bowl and knead to form a soft dough. If the dough is sticky, add some flour and knead.

  • Once done, cover the dough & allow it to rest for 20 minutes.

2. Shape the donuts:

  • Roll the dough into a thick circular shape (1/4 inch thick)

  • Using cookie cutter, make circles. I used a lid of a container and shaped it.

  • Using a smaller cookie cutter, cut in between the circle to form a donut shape. I used a bottle cap to do the same.

  • Remove the excess dough.

3. Fry the donuts:

  • Heat oil in a pan.

  • Gently add the shaped donuts to the hot oil.

  • Fry them both sides on low heat until golden brown.

4. Dust the donuts with some sugar & add sprinkles. Enjoy.
