Today’s post is Mor Rasam. This rasam would taste heavenly when you are actually recovering from fever or cold .It is very soothing to the throat. There are many variations to this rasam.Today's let us see the first variation.
Ingredients:
Curd 1 cup
Asafoetida pinch
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder a pinch
To dry roast:
Tur Dal 1 tsp
Chana Dal 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds 1/2 tsp
Pepper 1 tsp
Red Chilli 1
Method:
Dry roast all the ingredients given under "To dry roast". Powder them into a fine powder and keep it aside.
Whisk the curd. Pour it into a vessel. Add turmeric powder and asafoetida to it.
Heat in a very low flame and allow the curd mixture to froth. Make sure that you do not boil.
Once it starts to froth, add the ground powder. Mix and add more water to adjust the consistency.
Simmer for couple of minutes and switch off the flame.
Heat ghee in a pan. Add mustard seeds, red chilli, curry leaves. When they splutter, pour it over the rasam.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
