Onion Rava Dosa with Coconut Chutney

Dosaaaaa !!! The very word makes me drool 🤤. Who wouldn't love them? Isn't it?

Today's post is Onion Rava Dosa. This lacy and crispy Rava dosa is always a delight to eat. I paired it with Coconut chutney and the brekkie was a bliss 😅.

Do you love dosa? What's your favourite dosa? Lemme know !

For the dosa:

Ingredients:

Rava 1 cup

Rice Flour 3/4 cup

Wheat Flour 3/4 cup

Onion 1 chopped finely

Green Chilli 1 or 2

Ginger 1 inch chopped

Curry leaves few

Salt to taste

Method:

  • Add rava, rice flour, wheat flour, cumin seeds, green chillies, ginger, curry leaves and salt to a bowl.

  • Add 4 cups of water. Mix well. Allow it to rest for couple of hours. After that, add another cup of water, mix well. The batter is ready.

  • Heat a tava. Drizzle oil. Keep the flame in medium. Take a ladle of this batter and pour it over the hot tava. Keep the flame in low.

  • Sprinkle some onions. Pour a tsp of oil over it. Allow the dosa to cook until crisp and brown.

  • Once done, fold & serve hot. Do not flip.

For the Coconut Chutney:

Add shredded coconut, fried gram, 1 garlic pod, few curry leaves, salt (to taste), asafoetida (pinch) into a fine paste adding water. Prepare a tadka with mustard seeds and pour over the chutney.
