Coconut 3 tbsp
Bengal gram dal 1 tbsp
Pepper 1 tsp

Oil
Mustard Seeds 1 tsp
Method:
🥒 Peel the skin of the cucumber and chop it into small pieces.
🥒 Add chopped cucumber, moong dal to a vessel.
🥒 Add turmeric powder and water to it. Pressure cook for 4 whistles.
🥒 Meanwhile heat oil in a pan.
🥒 Add bengal gram dal, pepper, cumin seeds to the pan.
🥒 Once it becomes brown, remove it from the pan and allow it to cool.
🥒 Once it is cooled, grind it along with coconut into a thick paste adding little water.
🥒 Add this ground paste to the cooked dal.
🥒 Allow this kootu mixture to simmer for couple of minutes.
🥒 Switch off the flame.
🥒 Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
🥒 Once it splutters, pour it over the kootu mixture.
🥒 Garnish with coriander leaves and curry leaves.
