Chole Wrap

Today's post is "Chole Wrap". Prepared a yummy stuffing using Chickpeas blended with different sauces and tucked it inside a roti. The taste was awesome. This stuffing can be used as a filling for burritos or tacos too for an Indian twist 😅.


Ingredients:


Chickpeas 1 cup

Onion 1

Capsicum 1

Tomato 1

Ginger 1 inch

Garlic 1 pod

Green Chilli 1

Turmeric Powder pinch

Cumin Seeds 1/2 tsp

Garam Masala Powder 1 tsp

Amchur Powder 1 tsp

Salt to taste

Sweet Onion Sauce

Chilli Garlic Sauce

Pizza Sauce / Tomato ketchup

Oregano Powder


Method:

1. Prepare the Stuffing:

  • Soak Chickpeas overnight. The next day, pressure cook them with a pinch of turmeric & salt for 4 whistles. Keep it aside.

  • Heat oil in a pan. Once hot, add cumin seeds. When they splutter, add ginger, garlic, green chilli. Saute for a minute.

  • Add onions, capsicum, tomato. Saute them for couple of minutes.

  • Add boiled chickpeas, salt, garam masala powder, amchur powder. Saute for couple of minutes.

  • Add Sweet Onion sauce, chilli garlic sauce. Mix well and switch off the flame.


2. Prepare the roti.


3. Apply pizza sauce or tomato ketchup over the roti. Place the stuffing, roll them. Sprinkle oregano and enjoy.
