Eggless Apple Pie (No Oven)


Today's post is about making an Eggless apple pie in a pan. This is my second attempt on the pie. I must admit that it was super crunchy from outside with a very juicy stuffing inside 😅. My first attempt was a failure as it was totally like a biscuit pie. This one came out really well, we loved every bite of it 😀😀.


Let's get on to the recipe.


Ingredients:

For the stuffing:


Apple 2 medium size

Sugar 4 tbsp

Cinnamon 1 stick

Butter 2 tsp

Corn flour 1 tsp


For the dough:


All Purpose Flour 1 cup

Butter 1 tbsp

Water

Salt a pinch

Sugar a pinch


Method:


Step 1: Prepare the stuffing:

🍎 Peel the skin of the apple and chop into small pieces.

🍎 Heat butter in a pan. Once the butter starts melting, add a cinnamon stick.

🍎 Add the chopped apple and saute them for a minute.

🍎 Next add the sugar. The apple will start releasing its juice and the sugar will start caramelizing.

🍎 Add little corn flour to adjust the consistency.

🍎 Switch off the flame.


Step 2: Prepare the dough:

👉 Add all purpose flour and butter to a bowl. Add a pinch of salt and sugar to it.

👉 Prepare a soft dough by adding water little by little.

👉 Divide the dough into 2 balls.

👉 Roll the first ball into a thick circle using a rolling pin.

👉 Place the stuffing over it.

👉 Next roll the other ball into a circle and cut them into thin strips. Make a lattice pie crust.


Step 3: Cooking / Baking the Pie:

🌿 Place a grill on the pan. Heat it for couple of minutes.

🌿 Place the pie over the grill.

🌿 Cover the pan and allow the pie to cook in low flame for 40 minutes.
