Sago (Javvarisi) Dosa & Red Capsicum Tomato Chutney

Today's post is a simple Sago (Javvarisi) dosa paired with spicy Red Capsicum Tomato Chutney.


Dosa:


A very yummy dosa that just melts in the mouth. Here is the recipe for the same.




Ingredients:


Raw Rice 1 cup

Sago 1/2 cup


Method:


Soak raw rice and Sago in water separately for 2 to 3 hours. Then grind them into a smooth paste adding salt and water. The consistency should be of rava dosa batter.



Add cumin seeds, green chillies, pepper powder. Mix them well. Pout them into thin crepes over the hot tawa.


Red Capsicum Chutney:



Ingredients:


Red Capsicum 1

Tomato 1

Tamarind little

Chana Dal 1 tsp

Red Chilli 4

Coriander leaves


Method:


  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add red chilli and chana dal. Saute for few seconds.

  2. Add chopped red capsicum and tomato. Let it cook until the tomatoes turn soft.

  3. Add tamarind, salt. Saute for a minute. Switch off the flame.

  4. Add a small handful of coriander leaves. When cool, grind them into a fine paste.

  5. Temper it with mustard seeds and curry leaves.
