Spiced Cauliflower Fry

Today's post is a simple Cauliflower Fry tossed in Indian Spices. Cauliflower is one versatile vegetable which can be cooked according to one's taste isn't it 😅.


Let's get on to the post.


Ingredients:


Cauliflower 1 medium size

Onion 1

Green Chilli 1

Ginger 1 inch

Cinnamon Stick 1


Dry roast and grind:

Coriander Seeds 2 tsp

Pepper 1 tsp

Cumin Seeds 1/2 tsp

Cardamom 1 pod


Method:


1. Immerse the caulilower florets in hot water (with salt + turmeric powder) for 15 minutes.

2. Dry roast the ingredients given under "To dry roast and grind" and grind them into a fine powder. Keep it aside.

3. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and allow it to splutter.

4. Add cinnamon stick, ginger and green chilli. Saute them for few seconds.

5. Next add onion and fry until they turn translucent.

6. Add turmeric powder, cauliflower florets and salt.

7. Mix well and cover the pan with a lid.

8. After 5 to 7 minutes, add the ground powder (step 2). Mix them well and allow to simmer on low flame.

9. Switch off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves.
