I love to make different kind of Chilas at home. Some time back, I posted a Whole Wheat Chila. Today I tried using raw rice. It was very tasty and the best part is, this is loaded with lot of veggies. So it is very healthy š
One secret to get a very soft chila is to add boiled potatoes and grind it along with the batter. Have you tried it this way? Lemme know !
Ingredients:
Raw Rice 1 cup
Potato 2 medium sized
Salt to taste
Oil
To add to the batter:
Onion 1 Chopped
Capsicum 1 small chopped
Green Chilli 1 or 2 chopped
Coriander leaves few chopped
Cumin Seeds 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder 1/2 tsp

Method:
Soak raw rice for 4 hours. Then grind it into a smooth paste adding water.
Add the boiled potatoes and salt to the above batter and grind into a smooth paste. Transfer them to a vessel.
To the above, add the ingredients given under "To add to the batter". Add a little water and mix well. The Chila batter is ready.
Heat a tawa. Add a ladle of the batter and spread it gently. Cover the tawa with a lid and cook the chila for couple of minutes until the sides starts browning. Flip it gently and cook for a minute.
Serve hot with any chutney of your choice. I paired it with Onion Tomato Chutney.
